Kalamazoo Pride 2008
June

2 p.m.- 11:30 p.m.
Arcadia Festival Site, Downtown Kalamazoo
Live, Love, & Respect: Join us for an all-day event to celebrate the diversity of the Kalamazoo community! This is a family friendly event and will include:
- Children's Fun Area!
- Live music!
- A doggie fashion show!
- Information tables and resources from area organizations!
- Food and beverages from local vendors!
- A Drag Show!
Bronco Bash
September
We join area LBGT organizations each fall at this campus festival showcasing student organizations, area merchants, and free entertainment. We sell buttons, distribute flyers, and recruit volunteers for office projects and events.
Rainbow Reception & Resource Fair
Celebrate incoming LBGT and ally students at this fair highlighting campus and community LBGT/ally activities, resources, & services. We introduce Safe on Campus, the SpeakOUT! panel program, OUTspoken student organization, and local community agencies. Allies, friends, and family are welcome!
National Coming Out Day
October 11
Commemorating the 1987 March On Washington, on Oct. 11, we celebrate LBGT people and their allies who “come out of the closet.” For many, this is an experience of freedom when they no longer hide alone in fear of discovery.
LBGT History Month
October
Join the Office of LBGT Student Services and the Student Leadership Team to learn more about LBGT History through discussion and presentations.
LBGT Awareness Week
February
This week of events is designed to educate the WMU community about LBGT-related subjects and raise awareness of the diversity of LBGT people on campus. Look for OUTspoken’s annual Drag Show and other exciting programs of LBGT pride!
Student Organizations for LBGT & Ally Students!
OUTspoken
Wednesdays at 9 PM. This undergraduate registered student organization for lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, queer, questioning, and ally students meets weekly for educational, activist, and social events. OUTspoken is not affiliated with LBGT Student Services, but co-sponsors and volunteers at many LBGT campus events with LBGT Student Services. **OUTspoken does not meet during Summer sessions**

This graduate registered student organization’s mission is to provide opportunities for lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender and ally graduate students to interact and build community. OUTreach promotes an affirming and supportive environment at WMU through gatherings and events, including speakers, workshops, and thought-provoking entertainment.
